All right, so here with our old friend Tom Doll, President, Subaru of America, Tom, you're about to go on stage. But we're just about to hit day one of NADA, what are you most excited about?
Tom Doll: 0:13
Well, I think it's always great to get with our retailers and understand the issues that they're going through, and then get a better understanding of how we may be able to help our retailers with the issues that they're facing. And they can help us with the issues we're facing.
Paul Daly: 0:24
So you're make meeting I was able to attend it several years ago with Greg Ciocca. And it was amazing. What are you excited mean? I know you don't can't let us any secrets out of the bag. But you're excited to see people. Is there any trajectory that you have in 2023 that you're excited to talk about?
Tom Doll: 0:40
Well, we're hoping for our first sales increase in three years since the pandemic, we, you know, 2019 was the peak for us, we sold 700,000 vehicles. And then unfortunately, the last couple of years we we've gone lower and lower and lower. So we're hopeful and next year after three years of our sales being down we're going to have up here and we're looking to try to get an 8% sales increase which is put us a little over 600,000 vehicles for next year.

Tom Doll: 1:10
I'm driving I'm driving Ascent a Subaru Ascent . Of course, what else would I drive?
Paul Daly: 1:15
I don't know. I don't That's why I asked. I was thinking it was gonna be a Subaru.
Tom Doll: 1:18
I did drive this Solterra had this Solterra for about a month between Christmas and New Year's, and I'm sorry, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I loved it. I thought it was great and handled well. And I thought the pickup and ride was sensational. So I'm really looking forward. This will Solterra getting more Solterra in so we can satisfy more of our customers.
Paul Daly: 1:36
