In February, the tragic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio released over a million gallons of hazardous materials into the surrounding area. The community is still reeling from the contamination.
While there has been a major focus on the environmental impacts of the tragedy, much less attention has been paid to the human impacts.
Thanks to the generous support of dealers and industry partners, NADA’s Foundation Emergency Relief Fund was able to donate $6K in gift cards to twenty employees of Brittain Motors in East Palestine. The money is intended to provide relief in the wake of the disaster by helping staff pay for clean water and other resources necessary to protect themselves and their families from the pollution.
