An ongoing effort by JetBlue to acquire Spirit has taken a turn. Spirit has rejected takeover offers in favor of a merger with Frontier, but JetBlue is now appealing to shareholders. JetBlue has made an all-cash offer of $30 per share if shareholders vote down the Frontier merger.
