A patent published last week by General Motors describes a self-driving vehicle that includes a “method for driver training.” The car's onboard processor will judge its trainee based on their actions vs. what the autonomous driving software determines is best.
Don't say 2030... GM says they are still years away from fully autonomous driving, which would be required for the proposed system to work. The company also made clear no plan for making the robotic back seat driver a required feature in future models.
