Everybody knows the most challenging place to sell a car is in the middle of an active volcano. B&B owner Brian Kramer is aiming just short of that in collaboration with Axiom Space. Orbit Toyota will launch in early April 2024 and feature a 36,000 square foot showroom, just a bit bigger than the International Space Station.
Kramer is also partnering with Blue Origin to get customers to his high-flying dealership. They will ride a New Shephard launch vehicle to Orbit Toyota, dock, and be able to shop. After making a purchase, customers will re-enter Earth's atmosphere in their new car, strapped onto a heat shield. After landing safely, the heat shield will automatically disconnect, allowing owners to begin enjoying their brand new Toyota.
When we asked Axiom Space liaison Venus Armstrong for a statement, she said, "Who are you, and how did you get in my car?"
Can Kramer be stopped? Kramer recently trademarked Kra-moon-er and Kra-mars, so one can only imagine what his following ambitions will be.
