Vehicles have long inspired enthusiastic fandoms and tight communities. People come together around collecting, driving, building, and plain appreciating cars and the 100+ years of technology that gives them life. Naturally, as NFTs become a new frontier for artists, collectors, and traders, crossovers have many opportunities.
An artist named Shl0ms made a video of a Lamborghini Huracan exploding and made a 999-piece NFT series. Each buyer gets a part of the wreckage, a video clip, and the pride of knowing they have supported the arts.
Porsche Australia hired Nigel Sense to create an art car for a photo-based NFT series. Fanzone.io, a German NFT company, created the three NFTs. All proceeds are being donated to the Australian Center for Contemporary Art.
(Unfortunately, due to the camouflage-like pattern, the car was lost in a hardware store paint aisle. The search continues.)
Hot Wheels have sent many young people down the path to becoming car enthusiasts. Now it may also send them down the alternative path to becoming car NFT enthusiasts. The NFT Garage was created to give loot-box-based random rewards. People receive several NFTs from different series and are encouraged to trade for complete sets.
